Our Specialties

Anxiety Disorders

According to Harvard Medical School, about 31.1% of US adults will experience an anxiety disorder in their lives and many feel impairment from their anxiety. Understanding the root of your anxiety and learning coping skills you can use to reduce anxious symptoms can aid in its severity.

Life Transitions/Stress

Life can be stressful between work, family, relationships, daily tasks, etc. This becomes even more apparent when coupled with entering into new environments. Feelings of shame may arise and put up even more barriers toward reaching your goals. We’re here to help you explore your mindset and not feel so overburdened.

Depression

Depression can be absolutely debilitating. We can get caught in a cycle of hopelessness and further isolation, making getting treatment seem more and more distant. We’re so glad you made it here, to break the cycle, gain coping skills and adjust your mindset around your worth.

LGBTQIA+

The stigma that still exists around sexuality and gender can be detrimental to the mental health of youth and adults alike. It’s important to have a safe space where you can feel heard, validated, and understood. We strive to provide affirming care to our clients and all of our therapists are allies of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Trauma

Trauma is our reactions following a real or perceived threat to our life and safety and it can feel incredibly daunting to experience a trauma without the proper supports. Breathing and grounding techniques can aid in processing, as well as talking through the experience.

Political/Social Climate

The world today can be overwhelming. People are politically divided, made worse by the internet. Experiences of discrimination and prejudice can cause a myriad of other symptoms that impact our mental health. It’s important to have counselors who understand this reality and can validate your experiences.

Child/Adolescent/Parent Therapy

We constantly worry if the behaviors we are seeing in our children now are indicative of a bleak future, which causes anxiety in both parent and child. Rest assured, giving your child or teen the opportunity for a safe space to process the growing pains of life and process the difficulties of parenthood is a step towards a bright future.

Family Issues

Often the issue in your family isn’t as simple as behavioral concerns, but rather a cycle you have all found yourself in, arguing about little things and constantly misunderstanding one another. Attending therapy as a family shows that we all take responsibility in our dynamic and can create change.

Couples Issues

We tend to project much of our childhood trauma, parental dynamics, and insecurities onto our partner, as they are the one most intimately connected with us. They are likely doing the same and, all too often, those personalities clash. Understanding your partner and yourself is the key to success in any relationship.
